Un nombre muchas especies

En nuestra clase de biología nos pidieron realizar un trabajo acerca de la evolución de los primates. Este trabajo lo realice con mi compañero Santiago Darnes.

Historia de los primates

El nombre de “Primates” fue usado por primera vez por Linneo en 1758 en su ordenación taxonómica de los animales; significa “primeros” en latín. Linneo incluyó en su orden Primates a los humanos, monos antropomorfos, monos del Viejo Mundo y monos del Nuevo Mundo, distinguiendolos del resto de mamíferos, a los que llamó “Secundates” (segundos).

El grupo de los primates tienen características anatómicas que poseen ciertos rasgos que en su conjunto permiten identificarlos. Como características de los primates se pueden mencionar:

• Manos y pies con cinco dedos
• Pies plantígrados
• Pulgar oponible en manos y pies (algunas especies, como el hombre, han perdido esta capacidad en el pie)
• Clavículas presentes
• Uñas planas en lugar de garras
• Visión a color
• Articulaciones del hombro y del codo bien desarrolladas
• Hemisferios cerebrales bien desarrollados 
• Visión binocular (en diferentes grados) 
• Órbitas oculares rodeadas de huesos

Ejemplos

Lemur: Los lémures son unos primates estrepsirrinos endémicos de la isla de Madagascar. Reciben su nombre por los lémures, fantasmas o espíritus de la mitología romana, debido a las estrepitosas vocalizaciones que emiten, sus ojos brillantes y los hábitos nocturnos de algunas de sus especies.

Tarseros:  Son un infraorden entre los haplorrinos y los estrepsirrinos, porque la anatomía parecería que es típica de los estrepsirrinos, pero se ha visto que a través de la secuenciación génica pertenece a los monos más evolucionados, es decir al grupo de los haplorrinos

Monos del viejo mundo; El otro grupo es el denominado Catarrinos (monos del Viejo Mundo), estos poseen los orificios nasales abiertos hacia abajo, separados por un tabique nasal.

Gibon: Pertenecen los primates hominoides. Las especies que pertenecen a esta familia se caracterizan por tener brazos muy largos y vienen llamados gibones, como por ejemplo el siamang y se encuentran sobre todo en el sud-Asiático.

Orangután: Esta especie tiene los brazos muy largos pero a diferencia de los gibones tiene una inteligencia y memoria. El orangután utiliza las manos para poder agarrar los objetos, además de para caminar con los puños cerrados.

Chimpancé: Esta  especie gracias a su extraordinaria inteligencia, es capaz de utilizar las herramientas para poder cazar, y desarrollar actividades en su comunidad donde vive. Aunque son herbívoros, pueden comer también la carne de otros animales.

Gorila oriental: Es muy fuerte y tiene un pelo oscuro que recubre todo su cuerpo. Los machos son mucho más grandes que las hembras tanto en altura como en peso. Tanto los pies como los dedos están formados por cinco dedos con uñas. Los ojos son pequeños y la maxila es alargada y dientes muy fuertes, más desarrollada en los macho que en las hembras. Son animales sin cola.

Galagos: Los galágidos son una familia de primates estrepsirrinos conocidos vulgarmente como gálagos. Son pequeños animales nocturnos de África, muy abundantes, que se distribuyen en tres géneros y diecinueve especies.​

Loris: Los lorinos, conocidos vulgarmente como loris, son una subfamilia de primates estrepsirrinos naturales de África y Asia

Hi campers! Welcome to our camp. Here we will give you some information about what you will do here.

What you can do here

This summer will have a lot more of activities than years before. Here are some of them:

• :Capture the flag
• Rugby 
• Paintball
• Pool games like Marco Polo

What you might use

This is the most important point for the camp due to the fact that if any camper doesn’t have the necessary cloth or equipment he/she will loose the possibility of doing the activity they were waiting for.

• Bathing suits 
• Old pants and t-shirts (for paintball) 
• Mouthguard (for rugby)
• Shorts (for rugby)
• Shirts, at least 10
• Two pairs of shoes and one of crocs

Sleeping arrangement

As you may know, in this camp you sleep in cabins. There are cabins or four and five people and we say where will go each camper when they arrive here.

You will be safe all the time

To assure you with a perfectly safe summer we will offer you an emergency kit to take everywhere and even take it back home if you like, everything a real camper needs to be secure of everytime.

• Adhesive bandages of various sizes
• butterfly bandages
• antiseptic creams and ointments
• pain and anti-inflammatory medicine
• tweezers, scissors, safety pins, and knife
• sunburn relief spray

After discussing about how to write an information sheet, I was told to make one about the facilities in our town for exchange students in the school. Here is my work.

Here you will see a list of spots that are near to our school. This will helps you to know that here you will be safety.

Do you like sports?

      If you enjoy practising sports, you will love this town. Ir is full of sports facilities, like gyms and clubs. The gyms are not only dumbbells you also have zumba classes and crossfit classes. Regarding to clubs, there you can practise rugby and hockey.  Don’t think that hockey is for girls and rugby for boys, there are teams of men and women.

Don’t get worry if you get injured

   Most of the people get crazy when they get injured since they don’t know where to go. Don’t worry about that since we have many hospital near to as like Juncal and Santa Teresita hospital.

When sugar takes revenge

      A part form hospitals it would be a good idea to know where you can find a worthy dentist that will take care of your teeth. The town is full of skillfull dentists, there is one of high standar across the street of the school.

Dental issues:

Local dentists would make your visit as confortable as possible. They have the best specialist near the area. You will not even notice that they are working in your mouth.

  We hope that this advice helps you to clarify your doubts if you have them.

Social media

Social media have changed many aspects of our life since it came to us. It has detroyed the way that people used to communicate with each other some time ago. One clear example is the social networking, since with this you can talk with people that you don’t even know and this can be very dangerous.
I totally agree with the fact that social media have changed our relationships since there is no doubt that social networking is a doubled edged weapon since it has very useful things such as sharing pictures with yours friends or even talking to them being a long distances. Nevertheless, if you don’t use ir carefully people that you don’t know can get a lot of information about you.
It is a well-known fact that this will get worst in the future since social networking will continue improving and people will use it more and more. And like I just said if people don’t get concious of the terrible things that can happen if they don’t pay attention about what information they give, our future relationships are on risk.
To sum up social media is a very good way to communicate, however people are not ready to use it.
