Earthquake hits India and Nepal

The magnitude of the earthquake was of 6,9. It hit north easten India and Nepal. It destroyed buildings and killed at least 16 people. This happened on September 18 2011.
The earthquake was accompanied by two aftershocks . A lot of people where injured.
Sinigh the, prime minister, said the full damage was not immediatly know because the population was divided in different areas. 
Rescuers were searching for people under the buildings, sinigh said.
Electricity and phone service were interrupted.
The indian prime minister offered to send troops to help.
